  • Analyzed data including KPI’s from multiple sources on 70+ customer reported trouble tickets and later intraday auto-generated tickets a week to find the root cause of network degradation and then liaise with appropriate group to repair or correct, reducing customer returns, increasing call quality, and improving the company’s reputation.
  • Trained national network of peers to help them perform more thorough data analysis, ensuring all problems were rectified to improve our nationwide network scorecard.
  • Instituted quality review process with Tier I support to assist them in gathering high-quality information to decrease customer returns and improve profits.

Network Optimization Technician

AT&T WIRELESS/CENTENNIAL WIRELESS (FORT WAYNE, INDIANA)

  • Coordinated drive plans and schedules for Drive Testers, designed and implemented standard operating procedures to ensure quality data collection and employee safety.
  • Designed and facilitated a 2-day RF 101 class voluntarily for junior Engineering Associates to improve their knowledge and accuracy, leading to 3 promotions.
  • Devised and managed a project to create an accurate wireless coverage map utilizing Google’s Map API. Worked directly with a junior programmer and the Vice President of Engineering to accomplish the creation of this customer-facing application within 3 months, saving the company thousands in development fees.
  • Wrote job description and was promoted to this role, negotiating an over $10,000 raise.
  • Nominated for and awarded the 2009 Centennial President’s Club for dedication and exceeding expectations, also awarded the 2008 Centennial Centurion’s Club for the same.

Drive Tester Level II

AT&T WIRELESS/CENTENNIAL WIRELESS (FORT WAYNE, INDIANA)

  • Diagnosed, through analysis of uplink call traces, the root cause of a customer complaint as a faulty Sprint repeater causing interference on our band which dropped calls during the paging process. This correction improved our reputation with this customer and those employed at this location.
  • Evaluated drive test equipment from 3 vendors to guide the Vice President of Engineering in his purchasing decision, boosting productivity and reducing expenses.

AT&T WIRELESS/CENTENNIAL WIRELESS (FORT WAYNE, INDIANA)

  • Pioneered drive test planning, data collection, and data analysis as the 2nd drive tester on a newly established drive test team within the engineering organization.
  • Detected 100’s of network performance issues related to frequency planning, equipment, and core issues and brought them to the attention of the RF Engineers with detailed reports including plotted and graphed data, to significantly improve call retention and quality.
  • Identified missing parameter affecting inter-carrier handoffs in GSM carriers nationwide which was causing dropped calls. Liaised with Engineers from Cingular Wireless in Indianapolis to test and correct network settings, improving service across the country.
